Electronic development engineer
To implement our breakthrough diagnostic technology and optimize our laser systems, you will become part of our electronic development team. Besides designing and testing advanced subsystems for light detection and signal processing (analog and digital), including low-noise photodetectors, lock-in amplifiers and PID control loops, you will assist the development of our electronic laser control units. In addition, you will program and optimize firmware for the microcontroller-based control units. You will work closely with our laser, software, and microscope specialists to define technical requirements and perform system testing.
Your responsibilities:
- Concept development, simulation, and rapid prototyping of analog and digital circuits
- PCB design, research of components and coordination of production via external providers
- Ensure product compliance and certification according to industry standards
- Learn all the details about the existing electronic systems and optimize them
- Programming of STM32 MCU with C and C++
- Support production of laser products
- If desired: tasks in related fields such as service, sales, or PR
Your qualifications:
- Training or degree in electrical engineering, physics or related fields
- Knowledge and experience in analog and digital circuit technology
- Understanding of interfaces and bus systems such as CAN, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet
- Experience in programming MCU with C and C++
- Basic knowledge in the use of ECAD systems
- Good manual skills with soldering station
- Experience in simulations with LTspice
- Passion for experimentation
